Producers and packagers share responsibility with other marketers to bring truthful information to consumers. When crafting public statements about the sustainability or environmental safety of their products and services, companies should consider advertising rules and principles, including guidelines specifically designed to help marketers avoid making deceptive environmental marketing claims, and labeling rules for particular types of products or claims. In this workshop, companies will be guided on how to best market the sustainability of their packaging and products while also sticking to applicable rules and regulations, like the FTC Green Guides.

On Friday, October 29, 2021, special guest Tom Williams, Director for Nature Action and Water, The Food and Nature Program of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) joined us to discuss how recent UN Events have impacts for business and biodiversity.
Tom joined Colleen Corrigan, Senior Sustainability Advisor for Pure Strategies, to discuss the outcomes from The UN Biodiversity Conference, (COP15), and Business and Biodiversity Week, October 18-22. Tom and Colleen explored the interconnected crises of biodiversity loss and climate change, ecosystem degradation, and the current global efforts to achieve a future life in harmony with nature. They also shared insights about the relevance of these recent global meetings for business. What they covered:
