We will walk companies through the Planet-Forward Playbook, providing a simple process to identify what they may already be doing and where there may be opportunities for more actions to protect, restore, and sustainably manage natural resources. Through this workshop, companies will have initiated the steps to Start Now!, a call to action to progress both climate and nature, and leave the session with a view of practical next steps to advance their sustainability programs.

Presentation

Beyond TCFD from required disclosures to rewarding strategies

Join Pure Strategies for a deep dive into how climate disclosure requirements can help advance climate and sustainability strategies. This session will explore how to get more business value of implementing the recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), as required in the State of California’s SB-261 on climate-related financial risk and related requirements adopted in the U.S. SEC's rule on climate-related disclosures. Companies will hear what is typically involved in this process and how it is more than disclosure - where it can help drive climate programs beyond a siloed effort focused on metrics (GHG emissions) and targets (GHG reduction) to a more business-relevant program that engages functions across the organization.

Pure Supply: Empowering Suppliers on the climate journey panel and discussions

Companies often face the challenge of needing to address the significant climate and environmental impacts upstream in their supply chain where they do not have direct control. In order to reach the needed scale for meaningful progress, companies need to be able to connect with their suppliers and communicate expectations, build capacity, collect data, and advance efforts. Hear from our panel of companies and experts, including Walmart, General Mills, ADUSA, and Hallmark about practical strategies for maximizing corporate supplier engagement approaches and effectively managing supply chain impacts with a focus on science-based targets and renewable energy. This will include a close look at best practices to empower suppliers, including how to use online tools such as Pure Supply™.
