Climate Action
Navigating Change: Sustaining momentum on climate action amid political and organizational change
Fireside Chat: Corporate climate action is a long-term commitment that requires persistence, especially as the political landscape in Washington changes. National policy can have ripple effects across our global economy and impact how corporations address their sustainability commitments and strategies. Join Pure Strategies’ Managing Director, Tim Greiner to explore how companies can maintain focus on their climate programs, initiatives, and goals, despite shifts in federal policy, trade, and economics. This session will provide practical strategies for staying the course and ensuring continued progress in the face of these challenges.
Panel and Discussion: Tackling Scope 3 Emissions: Navigating action in the face of evolving standards. With 2030 quickly approaching, it’s a race against the clock for companies across all sectors to meet their near-term climate targets. At the same time, many companies are still waiting to understand how pending accounting and target-setting guidance will influence how their targets will take shape and the types of interventions in which to invest. In this session, you will hear from a panel of companies taking action to scale scope 3 decarbonization efforts, even in the face of this uncertainty. Learn about practical steps and “sure bets” your company can take to make the business case and invest in credible projects to progress on your decarbonization journey.
Workshop: Climate Action Planning: Filling the gaps to develop a robust corporate Climate Transition Action Plan (CTAP). A Climate Transition Action Plan (CTAP) is a framework that guides business planning and responds to growing stakeholder demand to address the question, "How is your business working to achieve a net-zero future?” Between public ESG reporting, local and national regulations, and supplier and customer requests, many companies already share elements of how they plan to move from setting greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets to taking action to achieve these goals. However, few companies have taken the step to take stock of all their climate initiatives and formalize them into a CTAP that meets stakeholder and regulatory requirements. This session will provide actionable insights on how businesses can effectively assess their existing climate programs, disclosures, and initiatives to develop a comprehensive CTAP. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how to leverage current resources and climate-related data to develop a structured plan that meets both short-term needs and long-term sustainability targets.
