On June 30th Bethany Davis, Director of Social Impact, MegaFood and Jordan Pratt, Farm Director, Kauai Organic Farms, joined us to discuss how MegaFood improved agricultural practices and resilience in their supply chain.
Bethany and Jordan joined Tim Greiner, Managing Director of Pure Strategies, to explore how MegaFood, a vitamin and supplement company, developed a program to advance regenerative agriculture and help facilitate how farmers learn about soil health practices and improve farm social and environmental performance.
What they covered:
- MegaFood's work to restore soil health through regenerative agriculture practices
- How healthy soil can help stabilize the climate, restore biodiversity, and support farm worker livelihoods
- Transformation at Kauai Organic Farms (KOF) to reduce weed pressure and improve farm productivity
- The farm research partnership between MegaFood and KOF to look at impacts of cover crops and microbial amendments to improve soil biology and sequester carbon
