Kate Winnebeck is a Senior Sustainability Advisor for Pure Strategies where she works with corporate clients to develop sustainability strategies and specializes in material and system modeling via life cycle assessment to evaluate environmental impact.
Prior to Pure Strategies, Kate worked for more than fifteen years at the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute in multiple roles. As the LCA program lead, Kate performed studies for numerous clients, including peer-reviewed LCAs that companies used for internal decision-making and external marketing of their products. In her role as the Emerging Contaminants Program Manager, she worked to identify sources of 1,4 dioxane and PFAS in consumer products and developed strategies to reduce them. Recent work included assisting start-ups to calculate environmental impact during product design and development.
Kate holds an M.S. in Environmental Health & Safety Management and a B.S. in Environmental Management & Technology, both from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Kate is a Life Cycle Assessment Certified Professional (LCACP).
