Corporate Sustainability Internship
Pure Strategies is seeking Interns to contribute to our team that is transforming business to create a more sustainable future. Corporate sustainability interns build their skills in corporate sustainability while supporting broader industry change to realize meaningful environmental and social improvement.
Interns will gain hands-on research, analysis, and presentation experience while also learning how businesses are taking action to improve their sustainability performance. The learning focuses on insights and best practices in areas that may include:
- Corporate sustainability strategy (e.g., benchmarking)
- Nature and biodiversity strategy (e.g., standards, programs, and goals)
- Climate strategy (e.g., standards, goals, and pathways)
- Sustainable packaging (e.g., circular economy)
- Sustainable agriculture (e.g., regenerative agriculture)
Professional development is another component of this internship position, and is provided through ongoing mentoring, networking, and education opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- A track record of working independently, critical analysis, and collaboration
- Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Oral and written communication skills (e.g., slides-based presentations like PowerPoint or other)
- Desire to contribute to industry best practices while expanding personal knowledge of current sustainability trends
- Commitment to a more sustainable future and interest in corporate sustainability
- Minimum of three years of completed education towards a higher education degree
- Reliable access to a computer, power, and high-speed internet in a private work environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Graduate students in an MBA program or in a science or sustainability area of study
- Positive, self-motivated, organized, and creative individual
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate sustainability, the global issues of sustainability, and the Sustainable Development Goals
- Experience conducting literature reviews; collecting, organizing and analyzing data; and benchmarking corporate activities
This is a temporary role that is paid and remote with an expectation for 15-20 hours/week starting early June and ending in late July or early August with a pay rate of $25 per hour. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship or work authorization. Remote work locations are limited to the contiguous United States.
The deadline to apply is March 20. Interviews will be conducted soon after and will continue until all openings are filled.
